What am I reading at the moment?
I have two books on the go.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a copy of The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin from Caitlin Raynor at Headline Publishing Group, and I’m so glad. I’m about half way through now, and it’s keeping me well and truly absorbed! I have had a few moments of needing to (metaphorically) put the book in the freezer when I was worried about what was going to happen next, which is always a good sign! The premise is that four children are given prophecies of the date that they will die, and the book then follows the siblings through their lives. Obviously, I can’t say whether the prophecies were correct or not as a) I haven’t finished yet and b) that would be very rude of me! But the paperback is coming out this week, and I highly recommend checking it out!
My second book is my reading on the phone when up with a Small person read, and is Confetti and Confusion by Daisy James, the second in the Paradise Cookery School series. My copy came through Net Galley. I really enjoyed the first book, so was pleased to see this one available. I’m only a page or two in, so it’s too soon to be able to say anything about it, but I’m looking forward to discovering more about what happens to the characters after the first book. It comes out today, I believe!
I also have a few books that are coming up on my TBR list… as long as I don’t get distracted first!!
Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
The Summer of Impossible Things by Rowan Coleman
Watching You by Lisa Jewell
