2017 has been a very rewarding year personally (2017’s political events are a whole other ball game and I’m not getting into it right now!).
As a family we have moved from overwhelmed parents of a newborn to – well, still overwhelmed – more confident (but still largely winging it!) parents of a toddler.
Professionally I have moved from being on maternity leave and deeply concerned about how to manage my return to work to running a business as a part time virtual assistant. I can do this around Small, and I have clients and work that I love.
I have managed to knit, spin and read a reasonable amount. I have started wearing clothes I love, not those that felt appropriate.
There are things I’d like to do in 2018. I even posted my list recently. But no resolutions per se. I’m going big picture for 2018! Of course I’d like to lose some weight, see friends more and build my business and whatnot, but I don’t see the need to pressurise myself unnecessarily.
So, as you can tell 2018 is going to be gentle with a focus on self-compassion.
