I’ve been inspired by the Happier podcast, I have decided to put together a list of 18 things I’d like to do in 2018. I’ve had to work hard to not let my inner Calvinist make all these about meeting external expectations and working harder. I want them to be about making my life, and that of my family, and maybe even the world, slightly better or happier.
- Design and publish a knitting pattern
- Research and plan activities for Small now he’s getting older and structured activities are slowly becoming more realistic
- Get into the habit of eating five portions of fruit and veg a day
- Clear Small’s bedroom of any evidence it used to be the office (there’s lots…)
- Spin and crochet my 2017 advent blanket
- Knit a jumper for Small for next winter
- Knit a cardigan or jumper for me!
- Make a habit of working out three times a week
- Get my business to a point where it’s routinely profit making
- Start a Sunday afternoon movie tradition with OH and Small
- Reduce my plastic consumption
- Meal plan!
- Sort through Small’s clothes every month and actually put them away if they don’t fit… (currently overflowing a washing basket!)
- Go out for an evening without Small (gulp!)
- Buy fewer but better quality clothes
- Redecorate a room in the house
- Embrace foods I genuinely love (ham! Pasta with pesto! Eggs, especially on pizza!)
- Go on holiday!
This is a great list, I have many of the same aspirations! And I love the Happier podcast!
