This was another review e-book from Netgalley.
I admit that I struggled at first and couldn’t get into the book. As I continued, though, the characters really started to grow on me. As I approached the end I was really keen to find out how it all ended. It is a warm and cosy book, and if you’re in the market for one I recommend it!
If I have a criticism, it’s the fact that the book does feel culturally muddled. There are moments and phrasing where it just doesn’t feel like a book set in Britain. Which makes a certain amount of sense as (I looked her up!) the author is American. However, I am a big believer in suspending disbelief when it suits me, so I say gloss over those moments and enjoy a sweet story!
